Many things are going on at De Meent; the greenhouse has been built and is in full use, new calves are living with us and the vegetable garden is coming back to life. We love to show you all this on Sunday June 1st. We'll open the yard from 12:00 to 16:00 during Amstellanddag for everyone who wants to enjoy. Feel free to visit!

ACTIVITIES

Join a herb workshop, catch crayfish during a field expedition, buy locally made products at the mini-market (with - amongst others - BAM collective, Samba's Sambal and products by Wereldmoeders), enjoy a tea tasting and of course there will be food and drinks from our own yard: cake, pancakes and much more home made food. All activities take place between 12:00 and 16:00 and are for free.

LOCATION

PS - Visit our neighbors while you're here: the Dorothy Gemeenschap. At 14:00 an open-air Taizé-style service will take place there.

SUGGESTION - Many beautiful natural places are open during Amstellanddag. Cycle along the Amstel and enjoy the outdoors.

De Meent is a farm in development - we put ecological and social values first. We produce food in a sustainable way, together with undocumented people and volunteers from the area for social (food) projects in Amsterdam, like de Regenboog and Wereldhuis.

There is also a dairy processing company - MOMA - and a shiitake nursery on our farm. In addition, we manage 31 hectares of natural landscape, where a lot grows, for example in the food forest.

Hope to see you Sunday!
