In recent years, a lot has been developed on and around the farm. The close community of participants and volunteers, the animals, crops, the landscape around the yard, the real estate, the farm partners, the team, the food production - everything continues to grow.
Every year – since the beginning of the Meent at the end of 2020 – we have celebrated the harvest together in September. A beautiful party full of music, food, workshops and tours.
This year we are going to do it differently. We are putting this 'young' tradition of the Harvest Festival in September on hold for a year, partly due to a lack of the right facilities and the pressure of organizing such a big event on our small team.
There will be a small-scale version in the fall in the form of a Harvest Dinner – long tables full of food and stories in our long-dreamed-of greenhouse. The foundation for this glass house is currently being built. More news about this will follow at the end of the summer.
